P. Ted Colquett

Ted is an exceedingly seasoned and experienced litigator, and joined the firm “Of Counsel” in 2010. He brings to our firm his special expertise in the areas of complex insurance litigation, including bad faith, fraud, large exposure property damage claims, as well as personal injury defense. He has tried over 125 jury trials to a verdict. His prior position as staff trial counsel for a large insurer afforded him the opportunity to defend a wide range of insurance related cases. Most of those which went to trial ended with a defense verdict.

Ted is recognized as a leading authority in the fields of insurance fraud, bad faith and uninsured motorist law. He frequently presents to attorney and industry organizations in his areas of expertise, and he has been awarded the designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) by the Litigation Management Institute at Columbia Law School. Ted is the author of “Alabama Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Law.”

Ted brings a calming and professional presence to the firm. Plus, he never has a bad hair day – he keeps it close for that purpose.
